High-performance recumbent trikes are low to the ground but their commanding dimensions may instill fear, even in the hearts of inattentive Sport Utility Vehicle drivers. Recumbent trikes are growing in popularity as thrill-seekers take interests in different and greater performance in human-powered vehicles.

One test ride in a high-performance trike will convince most people they must have one. The usual impediment to what would otherwise be considered a brilliant purchase, is spousal-shock when the spouse finds out how much yet another cycle is going to cost. Trikes offer a thrilling ride and luxuries such as not having to put your feet down when stopped and not having to choreograph tandem starts and stops between the stoker and driver.
