Information can be found on the T@H index page 'Bentrider Online, your online source for all 'bentdom, has a good message board. The human-powered vehicle forums page includes discussion of recumbents. The HPV forum can be found at HPV forums Be sure to search the archives and FAQ’s before posting questions on the mailing lists. Many topics have been covered in great depth. One interesting New England upright bike shop website is the Harris Cyclery site which contains articles by bike guru Sheldon Brown. Velo Vision qaurterly magazine features articles and news about all types of human-powered vehicles including recumbents and tandems. Velovision is a repository of dry English understatement. In Velovision issue 13, Mike Burrows reviewed "The Noblest Invention" by the editors of Bicycling Magazine and had this to say about that "shiny cycling book":
Well, this is an American book, so there is an unusual perspective - a bit like a Dutch book on mountaineering. The history section is the least 'definitive' that I have ever seen and I suspect that my friend John Pinkerton is not so much turning in his grave as doing his best to rise up out of it to strike down those responsible. BooksUnlike the book from the editors of Bicycling Magazine, "The Recumbent Bicycle" from Gunnar Fehlau contains an outstanding section on the history of the bicycle. Fehlau explains in detail how the UCI's decision to ban recumbents became a turning point for the upright bicycle that is now so ubiquitous. The Recumbent Bicycle covers human-powered vehicle racing as well as popular everyday recumbents from around the world. The book is a bargain at $20 and the latest edition even has a colour photo section. The Recumbent Bicycle, by Gunnar Fehlau; Out Your Backdoor Press, Williamston, MI, ISBN 1-892590-58-51 Transportation AdvocacyLeague of American BicyclistsTransportation PlanningVictoria Transport Policy InstituteTransportation Alternatives (New York)
